As you are aware our Club in May of 2012 and thereafter in October of 2013 has been affiliated with the Athens Club in Athens and with the Royal Over-Seas League in London. The purpose of these affiliations is, among other functions, the possibility of mutual visits by our Members to both Clubs.
The Athens Club was founded in 1875. It is located in the Centre of Athens, at Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue 11, (former University Avenue), Tel. 0030 210 3242611. The Club operates within the five floors of a nine floor building, which is owned by the Club. It includes a PT room, a Library, a Reading room, a Bridge room, a Billiards room, a Lecture and Reception room, as well as Reception Lounges, a Restaurant and a Roof Garden; the Roof Garden is open only during the summer months. During the months of June, July and September, the Club is closed on Sundays. During August the Club remains closed due to the summer holidays.
The Royal Over-Seas League is located in the centre of the English capital, at Over-Seas House, Park Place, St. James's Street, London SW1A 1LR, United Kingdom. The club provides comfortable areas such as restaurants, libraries, and cafes, as well as a hotel housed in the same building with 83 rooms, in which guests of the Club can stay, at special prices (compared with other high-cost hotels in Central London). In addition you can visit the Royal Over-Seas League located in Edinburgh Scotland which also provides, besides other facilities, 21 rooms for the guests of the Club.
We would also like to remind you that during your visit to either of the two Clubs you have to present our Membership Card along with your Identity Card, for purposes of identification. It is mandatory that you are properly dressed with jacket and tie at the Athens Club, while the Royal Over-Seas League bans shorts and open shoes. Finally we remind you that our membership card is valid for two calendar years, and does not reflect the payment of your annual subscription.
